Cold "Thirteen ways to bleed on stage"

Aftershock reviews the new Cold album "Thirteen ways to bleed on stage".

I was suprised by these guys! I heard the first hit "Just Got Wicked" and I thought cool another hard hitting band, but after listening to the album a few times this thing really got to me. I have always enjoyed a good "rock ballad" and these guys deliver!! If you like a slower methodic approach to music that moves at a slow speed but the vocals just seem to scream power than this is an album for you. Ballads like "She Said","No One", and "It's All Good" just have that deep moving feel to them. This is a great album I think everyone should have but I don't expect many hits here.....

The sound hasn't changed much but if you like rock you cant help but enjoy this album. This is the typical JD swigging ,girl, trash talking rock that made many a popular band in the late 80's. Amusing little songs like "Porno Star" talk about girls and what we all like to do....
The first hit "Ridin'" has that ever so Buckcherry feel and the vocals give me flashbacks of the Black Crows and Rhinobucket. Sure love that "CHAOS" tattoo on the lead singers stomach in the video. Getting down to it , if you like the the "Crows", "Rhino" , or old "Buck" then you'll enjoy this album!

Being the sister band to Papa Roach payed off for these guys! The 2 bands made a pact to help the other should one get recognition. I won't swing the door either way on this album. There's times when the vocals remind me of "Faith No More" while the guitar riffs make me think I'm listening to "Living Colour". I like the first hit of the album titled "Movies". There's also a remake of an old Micheal Jackson song "Smooth Criminal" that really caught my attention too. If your looking for something different give these guys a try!
